Awesome vintage Italian tailor dummy, made of wood and covered in fabric, made to display tailor creation, coming from a Roman tailor studio.
This way of displaying fashion models was very popular for ateliers in the 1950s, for showcasing the pret-à-porter models in shop windows. This very dummy in particular was used to show miniatures of the available models of the shop and has therefore a small size. Customers could have a look at the suggested models and ask for a tailor-made creation of their size based on them.
The inner removable structure is made of wood, the upper part covered in fabric has the mark “Pighi” (the brand) on it, which was a famous Roman shop on the Via Nazionale – Roman fashion district – that is no longer open.

A very peculiar item. Its vintage charm makes it ideal for a fashion workshop or to give your studio a chic retro look.
