Hemp fabric bag, handmade.

Batch of six hemp grain bags, never used, found in Southern Italy, intact.

At the time, hemp was hand woven, after a long roughing and steeping process. The procedure required a lot of time and skil. After several days, you’d have a proper fabric, but it was worth the wait, because in the end, bags were strong and impeccable.

The hemp used here is thick and well woven in a delicate herringbone pattern, which makes it extremely rare given the type of product.

Suggestion of use:

Very strong and versatile. Bags can be used as natural storage cases or even as peculiar pillowcases, travel bags or decoration.

State of conservation:

Perfectly intact, never been used, never been washed. Some slight age patina on the fabric. Price per unit.
