ALL THE ITEMS FOR SALE IN THE SHOP ARE ORIGINAL AND THEIR AUTENTICITY IS CERTIFIED BY THE CERTIFICATE THAT HARMATTAN SEND WITH THE PURCHASED ITEM.

Upon sale, Harmattan prepares and issues a signed document that shows the measures (size/weight), description, timeline, origin, period and author or attribution of the work/good, if acknowledged.

Such statement of authenticity, together with the receipt or invoice of any sale, confirms that the purchaser bought such an item/good. It also authenticates the purchaser’s ownership of such a valuable item. Concerning the liability, the seller is responsible for issuing the statement.

The legislative decree no. 42/2004, which gathered together in a single text (Testo Unico) the various provisions stated in different laws and codes in the matter of cultural heritage and assets, established that the operators and persons who sell paintings or similar works of art, sculptures or graphics, or antiques or items of historical interest and archaeological heritage, has an obligation to provide the purchaser with the documents certifying the authenticity of the work or object, or, at least, they must submit the documents relating to any potential attribution and origin of the work/good.
