VINTAGE PUPPET THEATER, 1960

120.00€
Out of stock
A traditional puppet theater stage from the mid XX century. Includes 11 plaster and plastic puppet dolls.
Main body of the theater is made of wood and paper, with painted swiveling scenes representing different locations. The facade is decorated with paper elements painted in cheerful colors.
The set includes the original box and its fabric theater curtain.
Puppet dolls are made of different materials, including plastic (legs) and this clearly sets the origin of the product in the 1960s.
The 11 dolls represent some traditional children literature protagonists, and some figurines are clearly recognisable among the best known traditional fairy tale characters.
These dolls were used by children playing their most beloved tales or even inventing new ones. The stage was an excuse to unleash children’s fantasy.
Suggestion of use:
It’s an ageless toy from the recent past, still valuable as memorabilia or collection evergreen.
State of conservation:
Well preserved, some slight aging marks and small imperfections. Only one of the stage scenes is damaged, some dolls have some small injuries in their plaster part. Theater stage and dolls can not be sold separately.
