Lovely Irish lace handmade doily, with tassels. Original from the twenties of XX century, once used to decorate tables for special occasions and preserved intact up to today. Irish lace creation requires a long time and lots of expertise. Single lace decorations are crafted separately, and then united with crochet. Traditionally, decorations like this were inspired by nature, so that in doilies you may find flowers and leaves within the crochet pattern, ending with beautiful grape-shaped tassels on the borders.

Suggestion of use:
Use it as a runner on a linen- or cotton-tablecloth. It will create a lovely and elegant retro atmosphere.

State of conservation:
It has not been washed and has a slight ageing patina.
